Visiting Taipei

This Saturday we went to Taipei with our little branch on a big bus. We saw both Johnny Lingos and Church Ball on the way. We went to the temple in the early afternoon and then over to Taipei 101, the tallest building in the world. Be sure to tell Lauren and Ashley that. They'll be impressed. It goes up way high but we only went to the observation deck on the 89th floor (that's as far as you can go). It only takes 37 seconds to get from the 6th to the 89th floor. It is very smooth. If it weren't for your ears popping, you wouldn't know you were moving. It was fun to look down on the huge city They have lots of very tall buildings there but you wouldn't know it from up there. It was fun. We were with the English teachers who are in our branch, young adults most of whom have graduated from college and are having an adventure. One of them, Britta, was in Michael's young adult group on Grandview hill. She contacted him online and he sent a hug from Jill and Matt. We actually wouldn't be able to do that (sightsee) with the missionaries but President thinks it's good for us to support the branch and even had to get permission from the area authorities for us to go. We'll never tell him we had such a good time. Have the kids look up Taipei on line. They might be interested.
We saw two Americans coming out of theTemple from Bunker's ward. They miss them a lot. Branch president, Brother Childs and Brother Beuler or something like that. He hopes that Colin and Katie move into their neighborhood in Washington. I do hope everything is going well for you all. We think about you lots but try to stay focused on what we do so it doesn't seem like so long we'll be away. We love you more than we can say and pray for you everyday at least 4 times. I think I'll go read a book. I've been enjoying reading the Ensigns and church News so guess I should read one of the approved m
